Help Protect the Ironmen! Volunteers Needed at Ironman Events for Melanoma Screening
The SDPA is partnering with the Melanoma Research Foundation to help provide volunteers for skin cancer screenings to be conducted at various Ironman Triathlon events starting next month.
For endurance athletes who train outdoors, prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation can increase the risk of being diagnosed with the disease. Even Ironmen are at risk for melanoma!
Are you within driving distance of any of the following Ironman cities?
If so, click on your city to register as a skin-cancer-screening volunteer! You could save an Ironman’s life.
