Full-time PA Salaries Continue to Rise
According to survey data collected by ADVANCE for NPs & PAs, salaries for both full and part-time PAs have increased 5 of the 6 years they have collected data. The average salary for physician assistant rose 4. 73% over the prior year bringing the average PA salary to $112,344. Part-time PA salaries jumped 10% over the prior year with an average hourly rate of $59.55..
Increases for PAs and NPs outpaced the national average for salary increases, which has been about 2.8% for the past three years according to Mercer’s US Compensation Planning Survey.
This information is consistent with other surveys of the PA field, which find physician assistants, and particularly those in the dermatology profession, continue to enjoy high job satisfaction and quality pay and benefits.
